You have been created in the image of God. You know that God creates with the words of His mouth. It would appear then, that in His image, you create with your words too. So here’s a worthy prayer — “Lord, help me to control my tongue and keep the things I say in line with your Word.” You'd better ask for help with the “meditation of our hearts”part, too. David knew of his need in this area. He was well aware of the power of the tongue and the impossibility of taming it on his own. He sought God and asked for help. The Holy Spirit in you offers that same help. Quit struggling on your own and ask for some supernatural, Holy Spirit, Christ-in-you assistance with your mouth! Then you’ll be able to create with your Words just like your Father.
